How to Join

Welcome to the Behavioral Scientist’s Summer Book Club. You can join the book club in three easy steps:

  1. Become a Supporter (or, purchase a ticket)
  2. Register for the Summer Book Club
  3. Get reading!

1: Become a Supporter (or, purchase a ticket)

The Summer Book Club is open to Supporters of Behavioral Scientist. Supporters are readers who make a monthly or annual donation at any amount they choose.

This financial support helps power our work as an independent, nonprofit magazine. In addition to the book club, Supporters get access to our events, bonus offers, and monthly conversations with the editorial team.

To become a Supporter and join the Summer Book Club, sign up here. After you sign up, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to register for the book club.

Supporters also get a plus one! Supporters can gift one colleague, friend, or family member full access to all book club content and events. When you become a Supporter, you’ll receive instructions on how to get your plus one access.

Purchase a ticket: If you’d like to join the book club, but ongoing commitments aren’t your thing (we get it, it is summer after all), then you can purchase a ticket for $25 or make a one-time donation of $25 or more. You’ll get full access to all book club content and events. This financial support helps power the book club and our work as an independent, nonprofit magazine.

After you purchase a ticket, you’ll receive instructions on how to register for the book club.

2: Register for the Summer Book Club

After you become a Supporter or purchase a ticket, you'll receive an email with a link to the Summer Book Club registration form. Once you complete that form, you’ll be set up to receive email updates and you’ll have full access to book club posts and bonus content.

3: Get reading!

You can find Player Piano by Kurt Vonnegut at most bookstores, in-person and online. It is available as an audiobook too.
